Description

A quick and flavorful baked chicken dinner made with just four simple ingredients. Brown sugar, soy sauce, and garlic create a glossy sweet-and-savory glaze that coats the chicken beautifully.


Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 680 g / 1½ lb)
  • 1/2 cup (100 g) brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup (80 ml) soy sauce
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Arrange the chicken breasts evenly in the prepared baking dish.
  3. In a small bowl, mix the brown sugar, soy sauce, and minced garlic until the sugar begins to dissolve.
  4. Pour the sauce mixture evenly over the chicken, coating each piece well.
  5. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
  6. Spoon some of the pan sauce over the chicken before serving for extra flavor and moisture.

Notes

  • Boneless chicken thighs can be used instead of chicken breasts for a juicier result.
  • Add a pinch of red pepper flakes for a little heat.
  • Try adding broccoli, bell peppers, or green beans to the baking dish for an easy one-pan meal.
