Ingredients
- 1 pound elbow macaroni
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 3 cups whole milk
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup cream cheese
- 1 cup crushed buttery crackers (like Ritz)
- 2 tablespoons melted butter (for topping)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Cook the elbow macaroni in a large pot of salted boiling water until just al dente. Drain and set aside.
- In the same pot, melt butter over medium heat. Whisk in flour and cook for 1–2 minutes until golden.
- Gradually whisk in milk and cream, stirring constantly. Simmer until thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir to combine.
- Stir in cream cheese until melted and smooth.
- Add cheddar, mozzarella, provolone, Monterey Jack, and Parmesan cheeses gradually, stirring until fully melted and smooth.
- Fold in cooked macaroni until evenly coated.
- Pour mixture into a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Mix crushed crackers with melted butter and sprinkle over the top.
- Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes, until bubbly and golden on top.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
