Description

This 5-minute healthy cream cheese frosting is a light, naturally sweetened alternative to traditional frosting. Made with Greek yogurt and maple syrup or honey, it’s smooth, creamy, and perfect for muffins, cupcakes, or cakes.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz reduced-fat cream cheese (softened)
  • 3 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt (2% or whole)
  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup or honey (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients in a mixing bowl.
  2. Blend with a spatula or handheld mixer until smooth and creamy, about 1–2 minutes.
  3. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
  4. For a firmer texture, chill the frosting in the fridge for 10–15 minutes before using.

Notes

  • Use dairy-free cream cheese and coconut yogurt for a vegan version.
  • Add cinnamon or cocoa powder for flavor variations.
  • Store in the fridge for up to 4 days; do not freeze.
  • Let sit at room temperature before spreading if chilled.
