Description

Apple Fritter Bites are small, deep-fried treats filled with tender apple chunks and coated with a sweet cinnamon glaze. They are crispy on the outside and soft and fluffy on the inside — perfect for a quick dessert or snack.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp melted butter
  • 1 cup peeled and finely diced apples (e.g., Granny Smith)
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar (for glaze)
  • 1 tbsp milk (for glaze)
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon (for glaze)

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together milk, egg, vanilla extract, and melted butter.
  3. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  4. Fold in the diced apples.
  5. Heat oil in a deep pan or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  6. Drop spoonfuls of batter into the hot oil, cooking a few at a time to avoid overcrowding.
  7. Fry for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until golden brown and cooked through.
  8. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  9. In a small bowl, whisk powdered sugar, milk, and cinnamon to make the glaze.
  10. Drizzle or dip fritters in the glaze while still warm. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Use tart apples like Granny Smith for the best flavor balance.
  • Do not overcrowd the frying pan to maintain oil temperature.
  • Serve warm for best taste and texture.
