Description

A super simple, flavorful chicken dish made with just three main ingredients—brown sugar, Italian dressing, and chicken—for an easy weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts (about 500g)
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup Italian dressing (low‑sodium if preferred)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Place the chicken breasts in a baking dish in a single layer.
  3. Sprinkle the brown sugar evenly over the chicken.
  4. Pour the Italian dressing over the chicken and brown sugar, coating each piece.
  5. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through (internal temperature 74°C / 165°F).
  6. If desired, broil for 2–3 minutes at the end to caramelize the top.
  7. Remove from the oven and let rest 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Serve with rice, steamed vegetables, or a simple salad.
  • For extra flavor, add minced garlic or a squeeze of lemon.
  • You can use bone‑in chicken; just increase baking time as needed.
