Description
A deconstructed version of the classic Big Mac turned into a fresh and flavorful salad with seasoned ground beef, crisp lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, and a creamy special sauce dressing.
Ingredients
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 6 cups chopped romaine lettuce
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup dill pickles, sliced
- 1/2 cup diced onion
- 1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved (optional)
- 1/2 cup Thousand Island dressing (or Big Mac-style sauce)
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Prepare the salad base by placing chopped romaine lettuce in a large bowl.
- Top with shredded cheese, sliced pickles, diced onion, and cherry tomatoes if using.
- Add the cooked ground beef evenly over the salad.
- Drizzle Thousand Island dressing (or homemade Big Mac sauce) over the top.
- Sprinkle sesame seeds for garnish.
- Toss lightly before serving or serve in individual bowls with dressing on the side.
Notes
- You can use ground turkey or chicken instead of beef for a lighter version.
- For extra crunch, add shredded cabbage or iceberg lettuce.
- To make it low-carb, use a sugar-free Thousand Island dressing.
- Meal prep friendly: store beef and veggies separately, then assemble before eating.
