Description

A creamy, tangy, and refreshing Brazilian Lemonade made with fresh limes, sweetened condensed milk, and sugar, blended to frothy perfection and served over ice.

Ingredients

  • 4 fresh limes, washed thoroughly and cut into wedges
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 2 cups ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Wash the limes thoroughly since the peel will be used. Cut each lime into wedges and remove any visible seeds.
  2. Place the lime wedges and 2 cups of cold water into a blender. Pulse gently 4 to 5 times, being careful not to over-blend to avoid bitterness.
  3. Strain the mixture through a fine mesh strainer into a pitcher, pressing lightly to extract the liquid. Discard the solids.
  4. Return the strained liquid to the blender. Add the remaining 2 cups of cold water, sugar, sweetened condensed milk, and ice cubes.
  5. Blend until smooth and frothy.
  6. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed. Serve immediately over extra ice.

Notes

  • Avoid over-blending the limes to prevent bitterness from the peel and pith.
  • Best served immediately for optimal flavor and freshness.
  • For a lighter version, reduce sweetened condensed milk and add a splash of coconut milk.
  • Honey can be used instead of granulated sugar.
  • Add fresh mint leaves for a refreshing twist.
  • For a sparkling version, substitute part of the water with chilled sparkling water and stir in at the end.
  • Store in a sealed pitcher in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours and stir before serving.
