Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup light brown sugar, packed
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup shelled pistachios, roughly chopped
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring constantly until golden brown with a nutty aroma. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  2. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
  3. In a large bowl, mix the browned butter, brown sugar, and honey until smooth.
  4. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, stirring until fully incorporated.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  6. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined.
  7. Fold in the chopped pistachios and white chocolate chips if using.
  8. Spread the dough evenly into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
  9. Bake for 22–28 minutes, until the edges are golden and a toothpick inserted in the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  10. Allow the bars to cool completely before slicing into squares.

Notes
