Description

This Bubble Up Biscuit Pizza Casserole is a comforting, family-friendly dish made with canned biscuit dough, pizza sauce, cheese, and customizable toppings. It’s a quick, easy, and satisfying twist on traditional pizza, baked into a bubbly casserole.


Ingredients

  • 1 can (16.3 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough, cut into quarters
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 1½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup sliced pepperoni (or mini pepperoni)
  • ½ cup cooked and crumbled Italian sausage (optional)
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (optional for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. Cut each biscuit into quarters and place them in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Pour the pizza sauce over the biscuit pieces and toss gently to coat.
  4. Fold in 1 cup of the shredded mozzarella, half of the pepperoni, and the crumbled sausage if using.
  5. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and spread it out evenly.
  6. Top with remaining mozzarella, pepperoni, Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
  7. Bake uncovered for 25–30 minutes or until biscuits are puffed and cheese is golden and bubbly.
  8. Let rest for 5 minutes, then sprinkle with chopped parsley before serving.
