Description

Spicy Cajun boiled eggs coated in a rich garlic butter sauce, delivering bold flavor with a quick and easy preparation.

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (adjust to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon hot sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Place eggs in a pot and cover with water. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 9–10 minutes.
  2. Transfer eggs to an ice bath, let cool, then peel.
  3. In a pan over medium heat, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, cayenne pepper, black pepper, salt, and chili flakes. Stir well.
  5. Mix in hot sauce and lemon juice to form the sauce.
  6. Add peeled eggs and gently toss to coat evenly.
  7. Cook for 2–3 minutes to let eggs absorb the flavors.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.

Notes

  • Adjust spice levels by reducing cayenne and chili flakes.
  • Store-bought Cajun seasoning works well.
  • Add honey for a sweet balance.
  • Optional additions include sautéed onions or bell peppers.
  • Reheat gently on the stovetop to avoid rubbery eggs.
