Description

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)
  • 1 cup uncooked white rice
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tsp salt
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C).
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook the ground beef until browned.
  3. Add diced onion and minced garlic; cook until softened.
  4. Stir in uncooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, milk, salt, and pepper together.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased casserole dish and smooth the surface.
  6. Cover tightly with foil and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Remove foil, sprinkle the shredded cheese over the top, and bake uncovered for another 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
