Description

Cheesy Onion Crisps are a quick and savory snack made with caramelized onions and shredded cheese baked to crispy perfection. They’re ideal for low-carb diets and serve as a tasty appetizer or crunchy topping.

Ingredients

  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add sliced onions and cook until caramelized, about 10-15 minutes.
  3. In a bowl, combine caramelized onions, cheddar, mozzarella, garlic powder, black pepper, and salt.
  4. Spoon small mounds of the mixture onto the prepared baking sheet, flattening slightly.
  5. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the edges are golden and crispy.
  6. Remove from oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use parchment paper to prevent sticking and for easy cleanup.
  • Experiment with different cheese blends for variety.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
