Description
A warm, cheesy dip inspired by pizza flavors, perfect for dipping bread, chips or veggies.
Ingredients
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- ½ teaspoon dried oregano
- ½ teaspoon dried parsley
- ¼ teaspoon dried basil
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup pizza sauce (or marinara)
- 2 tablespoons chopped green bell pepper (optional)
- 2 oz pepperoni, chopped
- 2 tablespoons sliced black olives (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven (or microwave) and prepare a shallow oven-safe or microwave‑safe baking dish.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, oregano, parsley, and basil until smooth.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly in the bottom of the dish.
- Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and half of the Parmesan over the cream cheese layer.
- Spread the pizza sauce on top of the cheese layer.
- Sprinkle the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan over the sauce.
- Add chopped bell pepper, pepperoni, and black olives (if using).
- Heat until cheese is melted and bubbly (e.g. bake or microwave for ~5 minutes). Serve warm with dippers.
Notes
- You can omit bell pepper or olives if you prefer plain.
- Use part-skim cheeses to reduce fat.
- Serve with baguette slices, pita, tortilla chips or veggies.
- If reheating, do so gently to avoid curdling.
