Description

A quick and flavorful chili‑lime‑marinated flank steak that’s ready in about 20 minutes and perfect for weeknight dinners, tacos, salads, or sliced over rice.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 lbs flank steak (trimmed of excess fat)
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
  • 1 tsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Mix olive oil, lime juice, chili powder, cumin, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  2. Coat the flank steak with the marinade.
  3. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes or overnight for deeper flavor.
  4. Preheat grill or skillet to medium‑high heat.
  5. Cook steak for 4‑5 minutes per side for medium‑rare.
  6. Let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing against the grain.

Notes

  • For best results, marinate overnight.
  • Adjust chili powder for more or less heat.
  • Serve with fresh lime wedges.
