Description
These chocolate peanut butter clusters are a quick, no-bake treat made with creamy peanut butter, melted chocolate, powdered sugar, and crunchy cereal for an easy sweet-and-salty snack.
Ingredients
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups cornflakes or crispy rice cereal
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/8 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring between each interval, until smooth.
- Stir in the peanut butter, vanilla extract, and salt until the mixture is fully combined and creamy.
- Add the powdered sugar and mix until the mixture thickens slightly.
- Gently fold in the cornflakes or crispy rice cereal, coating evenly without crushing the cereal too much.
- Drop spoonfuls of the mixture onto a parchment-lined baking sheet to form clusters.
- Let the clusters set at room temperature or refrigerate for 15 to 20 minutes until firm.
Notes
- Use well-stirred natural peanut butter if substituting, though the texture may be slightly softer.
- Swap cornflakes with pretzels, crispy rice cereal, or crushed cookies for a different crunch.
- Add chopped peanuts, almonds, or mini marshmallows for extra texture and flavor.
- Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or refrigerate for up to 2 weeks.
- Freeze in a sealed container for up to 2 months and thaw before serving.
