Description

A warm, soothing herbal tea made with cinnamon, honey, and lemon — perfect for easing sore throat discomfort and congestion. Quick to prepare and packed with natural healing ingredients.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon or 1 cinnamon stick
  • 1 tbsp raw honey
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice
  • Optional: 1-2 slices fresh ginger
  • Optional: 1 whole clove
  • Optional: Pinch of cayenne pepper

Instructions

  1. Bring 1 cup of water to a gentle boil in a small saucepan or kettle.
  2. If using a cinnamon stick, simmer it in the boiling water for about 10 minutes. If using ground cinnamon, add it directly and steep for 5 minutes.
  3. Remove from heat. Stir in honey and fresh lemon juice while the tea is still warm.
  4. Optionally, add ginger, clove, or cayenne for extra relief and steep for a few more minutes.
  5. Strain if needed. Let cool slightly and sip slowly.

Notes

  • Double or triple the recipe to enjoy throughout the day.
  • For a vegan option, substitute honey with maple syrup.
  • Store leftovers in a sealed jar in the fridge for up to 2 days.
  • Reheat gently over low heat; avoid boiling again to preserve honey’s benefits.
