Description
Copycat Taco Bell style seasoned ground beef
Ingredients
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 tablespoon all‑purpose flour
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- ½ teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon beef bouillon paste
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- ½ teaspoon granulated sugar
- ½ cup water
Instructions
- Add ground beef to a large skillet over medium heat. Brown the beef, breaking it into very small pieces (a potato masher or meat chopper helps) until fully cooked.
- Add all remaining ingredients (flour, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, paprika, cumin, beef bouillon paste, tomato paste, sugar, water) to the skillet and stir to combine.
- Bring mixture to a simmer.
- Continue cooking, stirring and breaking up meat as needed, until most of the liquid is absorbed (about 5 more minutes).
- Remove from heat and use as desired (in tacos, burritos, etc.).
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator; use within 2–3 days. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}
- You may substitute a pre‑made taco seasoning packet if desired. :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}
- Breaking the meat into very small crumbles is crucial to mimic Taco Bell’s texture. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}
