Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
- Add cold butter and mix using fingers or a pastry cutter until the mixture becomes crumbly.
- Stir in cottage cheese and milk until just combined into a dough. Do not overmix.
- Turn the dough onto a lightly floured surface and gently pat to about 2 cm (3/4 inch) thickness.
- Cut out biscuits using a round cutter and place on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes or until golden on top.
- Serve warm.
