- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1 cup full-fat cottage cheese
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 large egg
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and sugar.
- Add cold cubed butter and cut it into the flour mixture using a pastry cutter or fingertips until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In a separate bowl, mix cottage cheese, milk, and egg until well combined.
- Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and gently stir just until a soft dough forms. Do not overmix.
