Description
This Cozy Grinch Hot Chocolate is a festive green drink made with white chocolate, milk, and a hint of vanilla, topped with whipped cream and a red heart garnish. It’s perfect for holiday parties or cozy nights in.
Ingredients
- 4 cups whole milk
- 1 cup white chocolate chips
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Green food coloring (about 4–6 drops, or to desired shade)
- Whipped cream, for topping
- Red heart sprinkles or red candy hearts, for garnish
Instructions
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk and white chocolate chips. Stir continuously until the chocolate is completely melted and the mixture is hot but not boiling.
- Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the vanilla extract.
- Add green food coloring one drop at a time, stirring after each addition, until the desired green shade is reached.
- Pour the hot chocolate into mugs and top each with whipped cream.
- Garnish with a red heart candy or sprinkle on top of the whipped cream.
- Serve immediately while warm.
Notes
- Use white chocolate baking bars for a richer flavor.
- Substitute peppermint extract for a minty twist.
- Use almond or oat milk and vegan white chocolate for a dairy-free version.
- Simmer longer or add a splash of heavy cream for a thicker consistency.
- Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat on the stove over low heat.
