Description

A warm, cheesy breakfast sandwich made with savory sausage, fluffy eggs, and melted cheddar grilled between buttery crispy bread.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of bread
  • 2 breakfast sausage patties
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Cook the sausage patties in a skillet over medium heat until browned and fully cooked. Set aside.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, salt, and pepper.
  3. Pour the egg mixture into the same skillet and cook on low heat, stirring gently until soft and fluffy.
  4. Butter one side of each bread slice.
  5. Place one slice of bread butter-side down in a clean skillet over medium heat.
  6. Layer one slice of cheese, cooked eggs, sausage patties, and the second slice of cheese.
  7. Top with the second slice of bread, butter-side up.
  8. Cook until the bottom is golden brown, then flip and cook until the other side is crispy and the cheese is melted.
  9. Remove from skillet, cool slightly, slice, and serve.
