Description

Crispy baked or fried chicken wings tossed in a zesty lemon pepper butter sauce, perfect as an appetizer or game day snack.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs chicken wings, split and tips removed
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 4 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 tbsp lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp lemon pepper seasoning
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease a wire rack.
  2. Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels. Toss them with vegetable oil, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
  3. Arrange wings in a single layer on the prepared baking sheet and bake for 40–45 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden brown.
  4. Meanwhile, in a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, lemon juice, lemon zest, and lemon pepper seasoning.
  5. Remove wings from the oven and immediately toss them in the lemon pepper butter sauce until evenly coated.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve hot with ranch or blue cheese dressing.

Notes

  • For extra crispiness, refrigerate seasoned wings uncovered for at least 30 minutes before baking.
  • Air fryer method: Cook at 380°F for 25 minutes, shaking halfway through.
  • Adjust lemon pepper seasoning to taste.
  • Serve with celery sticks and dipping sauce for a classic pairing.
