Description

A delicious and easy-to-make Crockpot Chex Mix that combines crunchy cereals, nuts, pretzels, and Goldfish crackers with a buttery, savory seasoning blend, perfect for parties or as a snack.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups of Rice Chex cereal
  • 4 cups of Corn Chex cereal
  • 1 cup of mixed nuts
  • 1 cup of pretzel twists
  • 1 cup of cheddar goldfish crackers
  • 1/2 cup of unsalted butter (melted)
  • 1/4 cup of Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon of seasoned salt
  • 1 teaspoon of garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon of smoked paprika (optional for added flavor)

Instructions

  1. Start by spraying the inside of your crockpot with a light coat of cooking spray. This helps prevent the Chex Mix from sticking.
  2. In the crockpot, combine the Rice Chex, Corn Chex, mixed nuts, pretzels, and goldfish crackers. Stir them together so they’re evenly distributed.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the melted butter, Worcestershire sauce, seasoned salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and smoked paprika until fully combined.
  4. Pour the butter mixture evenly over the dry ingredients in the crockpot. Gently stir to ensure that everything is well coated.
  5. Cover the crockpot with the lid and cook on low for 2 to 3 hours, stirring every 30 minutes to make sure everything is getting evenly toasted.
  6. Once the Chex Mix is golden brown and crispy, remove it from the crockpot and let it cool completely before serving.

Notes

  • This recipe makes approximately 10 servings.
  • Stir every 30 minutes to ensure an even toast.
  • For variations, try adding M&Ms for sweetness, cayenne for heat, or shredded cheese for a cheesy version.
