Description

A hearty and flavorful crockpot chili recipe that’s perfect for a cozy night in. This slow-cooked dish combines ground beef, beans, tomatoes, and spices for a rich and satisfying meal.


Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 (15 oz) cans kidney beans, drained and rinsed
  • 2 (15 oz) cans diced tomatoes
  • 1 (15 oz) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 oz) can tomato paste
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 2 tbsp chili powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté onions and garlic until translucent.
  2. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
  3. Transfer beef mixture to a crockpot.
  4. Add kidney beans, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, and beef broth.
  5. Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, cayenne pepper (if using), salt, and pepper.
  6. Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours.
  7. Stir before serving and adjust seasoning if needed.
  8. Serve hot with your favorite toppings like shredded cheese, sour cream, or green onions.

Notes

  • You can substitute ground beef with ground turkey for a leaner version.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or frozen for up to 3 months.
  • For extra heat, add chopped jalapeños or a dash of hot sauce.
