Description

Quick and flavorful beef tacos made with seasoned ground beef, fresh toppings, and warm tortillas, perfect for an easy and customizable meal.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or 2 tbsp homemade taco seasoning)
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) water
  • 8 small tortillas (corn or flour)
  • 1 cup (100 g) shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup (150 g) diced tomatoes
  • 1/2 cup (120 g) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup (60 ml) sour cream
  • 1/4 cup (15 g) chopped fresh cilantro (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add chopped onion and cook until soft and translucent.
  3. Stir in minced garlic and cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
  5. Drain excess fat from the skillet.
  6. Add taco seasoning and water, then stir to combine.
  7. Simmer for 5–7 minutes until thickened and flavorful.
  8. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until soft.
  9. Spoon beef mixture into tortillas.
  10. Top with lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, sour cream, and cilantro.
  11. Serve immediately.
