Description
This Garlic Chicken Fried Chicken features crispy, golden breading seasoned with garlic, paprika, and pepper, wrapped around tender chicken breasts. It’s an easy, flavorful twist on a comfort food classic.
Ingredients
2 teaspoons garlic powder
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon paprika
½ cup seasoned bread crumbs
1 cup all-purpose flour
½ cup milk
1 egg
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves – pounded thin
1 cup oil for frying, or as needed
Instructions
- In a shallow dish, mix together garlic powder, pepper, salt, paprika, bread crumbs, and flour.
- In another dish, whisk milk and egg until well combined.
- Heat oil in an electric skillet to 350°F (175°C).
- Dip each chicken breast into the egg-milk mixture, then coat with the dry mixture.
- Fry chicken for about 5 minutes on each side, until golden, crispy, and cooked through.
- Remove and drain on paper towels.
- Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
For extra crispiness, double-dip the chicken in egg and dry mixtures.
Try baking at 400°F for 20-25 minutes if avoiding frying.
Add cayenne or herbs to customize flavor.
