Description

This Garlic Chicken Fried Chicken features crispy, golden breading seasoned with garlic, paprika, and pepper, wrapped around tender chicken breasts. It’s an easy, flavorful twist on a comfort food classic.


Ingredients

2 teaspoons garlic powder

1 teaspoon ground black pepper

1 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon paprika

½ cup seasoned bread crumbs

1 cup all-purpose flour

½ cup milk

1 egg

4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves – pounded thin

1 cup oil for frying, or as needed


Instructions

  1. In a shallow dish, mix together garlic powder, pepper, salt, paprika, bread crumbs, and flour.
  2. In another dish, whisk milk and egg until well combined.
  3. Heat oil in an electric skillet to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Dip each chicken breast into the egg-milk mixture, then coat with the dry mixture.
  5. Fry chicken for about 5 minutes on each side, until golden, crispy, and cooked through.
  6. Remove and drain on paper towels.
  7. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For extra crispiness, double-dip the chicken in egg and dry mixtures.

Try baking at 400°F for 20-25 minutes if avoiding frying.

Add cayenne or herbs to customize flavor.
