Description
This creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken Pasta is a one-pan comfort dish featuring tender chicken, rich garlic parmesan sauce, and your favorite pasta. Perfect for weeknights or special occasions.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1 pound), cut into strips or cubes
- 2 tablespoons olive oil or butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 8 ounces pasta (fettuccine, penne, or spaghetti work well)
- 1 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning (optional)
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook pasta in salted water according to package directions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Season the chicken with salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat, and sear the chicken until golden brown and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and sauté garlic for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Add chicken broth and heavy cream, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Bring to a gentle simmer.
- Stir in grated parmesan cheese and let the sauce simmer for 3–5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Return the chicken to the pan and add the cooked pasta, tossing everything to coat evenly in the sauce.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve warm.
Notes
- Use rotisserie chicken for a faster version.
- Add spinach, mushrooms, or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
- Use gluten-free pasta for a gluten-free version.
- For a lighter version, substitute half-and-half or milk for heavy cream.
- Add red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
