Description

Honey Butter Old Bay Shrimp is a quick and flavorful seafood dish combining sweet honey, savory butter, and zesty Old Bay seasoning. Perfect for busy weeknights or casual entertaining.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp Old Bay seasoning (plus more for seasoning shrimp)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Pat the shrimp dry and season lightly with Old Bay seasoning.
  2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and sauté the minced garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add the shrimp and cook for 1-2 minutes on each side until pink.
  4. Stir in the butter, honey, additional Old Bay seasoning, and lemon juice.
  5. Simmer for 1-2 minutes until the sauce thickens and glazes the shrimp.
  6. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • Add hot sauce or red pepper flakes for extra heat.
  • Maple syrup can be used as a substitute for honey.
  • Serve with rice, pasta, grits, or in tacos.
  • Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days; reheat gently in a skillet.
  • Do not freeze as shrimp texture may suffer.
