Description
Juicy baked chicken breasts topped with creamy feta and drizzled with a sweet-spicy hot honey glaze for a bold, flavorful dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 cup crumbled feta cheese
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup olive oil
- 2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried oregano
- Red pepper flakes, to taste
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Optional: fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- In a small bowl, whisk together honey, olive oil, minced garlic, red wine vinegar, oregano, red pepper flakes, salt, and pepper.
- Place the chicken breasts in the greased baking dish and spoon the honey mixture over them.
- Bake for 20–25 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the sauce is hot and bubbly.
- Sprinkle crumbled feta over the chicken during the last 3–5 minutes of baking so it softens but doesn’t completely melt.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
Notes
- Increase red pepper flakes or use hot honey for more heat.
- Swap in boneless chicken thighs for juicier results.
- Try goat cheese or blue cheese instead of feta for a flavor twist.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
