Description

A quick and flavorful meal featuring sweet and spicy hot honey ground beef served over rice with customizable toppings. Inspired by a viral TikTok recipe, it’s perfect for weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (85/15 or 90/10 lean)
  • 3 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon chili crisp (or more for heat)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon sriracha (optional for extra heat)
  • 1 tablespoon oil (avocado or vegetable oil)
  • 2 cups cooked white rice
  • Thinly sliced cucumbers (optional topping)
  • Shredded carrots (optional topping)
  • Sliced avocado (optional topping)
  • Spicy mayo (2 tbsp mayo + 1 tsp sriracha, optional topping)
  • Green onions (optional topping)
  • Sesame seeds (optional topping)

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add ground beef, break apart with a spoon, and cook until browned and fully cooked, about 6–8 minutes.
  3. Drain excess fat if needed, then reduce heat to medium.
  4. Stir in soy sauce, rice vinegar, garlic powder, chili crisp, honey, and sriracha.
  5. Let simmer for 2–3 minutes, stirring to coat beef until sauce thickens slightly.
  6. Divide cooked rice into bowls, top with hot honey ground beef, and add desired toppings.

Notes

  • Adjust chili crisp and sriracha to control spice level.
  • Use tamari or coconut aminos for a gluten-free version.
  • Store toppings separately to maintain freshness.
  • Great for meal prep—store in the fridge up to 3 days.
