Description
This Lemon Garlic Butter Chicken with Parmesan Linguine features golden seared chicken in a rich lemon garlic butter sauce, served over creamy parmesan linguine for a satisfying, restaurant-quality meal.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/4 cup heavy cream (optional)
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 8 oz linguine pasta
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and sear for 5–6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic until fragrant.
- Add lemon juice and chicken broth, scraping up browned bits. Stir in heavy cream if using.
- Cook linguine according to package instructions, then drain.
- Stir grated parmesan into the sauce until smooth. Toss the pasta in the sauce.
- Slice the chicken and serve on top of the pasta. Garnish with chopped parsley.
Notes
- Use freshly grated parmesan for the best texture and flavor.
- Chicken thighs can be used for extra juiciness.
- For a dairy-free version, skip the cream and cheese and use a vegan butter alternative.
- Leftovers can be reheated with a splash of broth to loosen the sauce.
- Red pepper flakes can be added for a spicier version.
