Description
Marry Me Chicken is a rich and creamy chicken dish featuring juicy seared chicken breasts smothered in a parmesan and sun-dried tomato cream sauce. It’s easy to make in one skillet and delivers restaurant-quality flavor perfect for any special or casual dinner.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- Fresh thyme or basil, for garnish
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper.
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat and sear the chicken until golden on both sides. Remove from skillet and set aside.
- Add minced garlic to the same skillet and sauté until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth, scraping the bottom of the pan to deglaze, then add heavy cream, parmesan cheese, and sun-dried tomatoes.
- Stir and simmer the sauce until it thickens slightly.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and simmer in the sauce until fully cooked through.
- Sprinkle with red pepper flakes and garnish with fresh thyme or basil before serving.
Notes
- Use sun-dried tomatoes packed in oil for better flavor and texture.
- Substitute chicken thighs for juicier meat.
- Half-and-half can be used instead of heavy cream for a lighter version.
- Add baby spinach or mushrooms for extra nutrients.
- For a dairy-free option, use coconut cream and dairy-free parmesan.
