Ingredients
- 12 lasagna noodles
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 lb Italian sausage
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 cups marinara sauce
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package directions, then drain and set aside.
- In a large skillet, brown ground beef and Italian sausage over medium heat. Drain excess grease.
- Add chopped onion and garlic; cook until fragrant.
- Stir in marinara sauce, tomato paste, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning. Simmer for 15 minutes.
- In a bowl, mix cream cheese, ricotta, sour cream, and a pinch of salt until smooth.
- In a baking dish, spread a thin layer of meat sauce, then layer noodles, cheese mixture, mozzarella, and more sauce. Repeat layers, finishing with mozzarella and parmesan on top.
- Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Uncover and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
- Let rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- Letting the lasagna rest helps it set and prevents it from being watery.
- You can use no-boil noodles—just ensure the sauce has enough moisture.
- Make ahead and refrigerate before baking to save time on busy days.
- Try variations like ground turkey, mushrooms, or spinach for different flavors.
