Description
One Pan Baked Dumplings are crispy on the bottom, soft on top, and bursting with savory flavor—an easy, comforting meal made in a single oven-safe pan for minimal cleanup.
Ingredients
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
- 1 package (about 20 pieces) frozen dumplings or gyoza (any filling of choice)
- 1 cup water
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon rice vinegar
- 1 teaspoon chili oil or sriracha (optional)
- 1 green onion, thinly sliced
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Coat the bottom of an oven-safe skillet or baking dish with sesame oil and vegetable oil.
- Arrange the frozen dumplings in a single layer, spaced slightly apart.
- In a small bowl, mix water, soy sauce, rice vinegar, and chili oil (if using).
- Pour the mixture over the dumplings, covering the bottom of the pan but not submerging them.
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, until dumplings are cooked through and bottoms are crisp.
- Remove from oven and cool slightly. Garnish with green onions and sesame seeds.
- Serve directly from the pan with extra soy sauce or dipping sauce if desired.
Notes
- No need to thaw frozen dumplings before baking.
- Use fresh dumplings if preferred—reduce bake time slightly.
- Cast-iron or ceramic oven-safe pans work best for crisp bottoms.
- To make it spicy, add chili oil, sriracha, or crushed red pepper flakes.
- For saucier dumplings, double the water and seasonings.
- Add veggies like bok choy or mushrooms for variety.
