Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3/4 cup chopped pecans
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 cups whipped topping or heavy cream, divided
- 2 (3.9 oz) packages instant chocolate pudding mix
- 3 cups cold milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Optional: extra chopped pecans or chocolate shavings for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a bowl, mix flour, melted butter, and chopped pecans. Press the mixture into the bottom of a baking dish.
- Bake the crust for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Let it cool completely.
- In another bowl, beat cream cheese until smooth. Blend in powdered sugar and vanilla extract. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping.
- Spread the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust.
- Whisk together chocolate pudding mix and cold milk until thickened. Spread over the cream cheese layer.
- Top with the remaining whipped topping.
- Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
- Garnish with chopped pecans or chocolate shavings if desired.
