Description

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Bread is a moist, sweet, and warmly spiced loaf that’s perfect for fall or any time of year. Made with pumpkin purée and semi-sweet chocolate chips, it’s simple to make and full of cozy flavor.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup pumpkin purée
  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ground cloves
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cloves.
  3. In another bowl, combine the pumpkin purée, granulated sugar, brown sugar, eggs, oil, and vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, stirring just until combined.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips gently.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
  7. Bake for 55 to 65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  8. Let the bread cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack to cool completely.

Notes

  • Use dark chocolate chunks for a richer flavor.
  • Add nuts like walnuts or pecans for extra texture.
  • Substitute half the flour with whole wheat for a healthier option.
  • Mini loaves or muffins can be made with reduced baking time.
  • Sprinkle coarse sugar on top before baking for a crunchy topping.
