Description
Snickers Salad is a sweet and creamy dessert ‘salad’ that combines instant vanilla pudding, Cool Whip, tart Granny Smith apples, and chopped Snickers bars, topped optionally with caramel sauce. It’s a nostalgic, no-bake treat perfect for potlucks and gatherings.
Ingredients
- 1 (3.4 oz) package instant vanilla pudding mix
- 3/4 cup whole milk
- 8 oz Cool Whip or 1 cup whipped cream
- 6 Granny Smith apples (reserve 1 for garnish)
- 6 full-size Snickers bars (reserve 1 for garnish)
- 1/4 cup caramel sauce (optional)
Instructions
- Whisk together the pudding mix and milk in a large bowl until smooth.
- Fold in the Cool Whip or whipped cream to combine.
- Core and chop 5 of the apples (reserve 1 for garnish). If prepping ahead, toss with lemon juice or 7-Up to prevent browning, then pat dry.
- Chop 5 Snickers bars into bite-sized pieces (reserve 1 for garnish).
- Fold the chopped apples and Snickers into the pudding mixture.
- Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.
- Before serving, top with reserved apple pieces, Snickers bits, and drizzle with caramel sauce if desired.
Notes
- Lemon juice or 7-Up helps prevent apple browning if making ahead.
- Use homemade whipped cream if Cool Whip isn’t available.
- Chill thoroughly for best texture and flavor.
- Can easily be doubled or tripled for a crowd.
