Description

Soft and fluffy garlic bread rolls filled with buttery garlic and herb mixture. Perfect as a side dish or appetizer.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 2 tbsp butter (melted)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened, for filling)
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/4 tsp salt (for filling)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
  2. Add warm milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
  3. Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
  4. Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  5. In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt to prepare the garlic filling.
  6. After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide into equal portions (about 8–10 pieces).
  7. Flatten each piece, place a small spoon of garlic butter in the center, and seal into a ball.
  8. Place the rolls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, seam-side down.
  9. Cover and let the rolls rise again for 30 minutes.
  10. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  11. Brush the rolls with olive oil and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
  12. Optional: Brush with more garlic butter after baking for extra flavor.

Notes

  • You can use dried parsley if fresh is not available.
  • Add a sprinkle of grated cheese inside or on top before baking for a cheesy version.
  • Make ahead and freeze after shaping for quick baking later.
