Description
Soft and fluffy garlic bread rolls filled with buttery garlic and herb mixture. Perfect as a side dish or appetizer.
Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 1/4 tsp instant yeast
- 3/4 cup warm milk
- 2 tbsp butter (melted)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened, for filling)
- 4 cloves garlic (minced)
- 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 tsp salt (for filling)
- 1 tbsp olive oil (for brushing)
Instructions
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast.
- Add warm milk and melted butter to the dry ingredients and mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
- In a small bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, and salt to prepare the garlic filling.
- After the dough has risen, punch it down and divide into equal portions (about 8–10 pieces).
- Flatten each piece, place a small spoon of garlic butter in the center, and seal into a ball.
- Place the rolls on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, seam-side down.
- Cover and let the rolls rise again for 30 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brush the rolls with olive oil and bake for 15–18 minutes until golden brown.
- Optional: Brush with more garlic butter after baking for extra flavor.
Notes
- You can use dried parsley if fresh is not available.
- Add a sprinkle of grated cheese inside or on top before baking for a cheesy version.
- Make ahead and freeze after shaping for quick baking later.
