Description

This Surf & Turf Garlic Noodles recipe blends tender steak, succulent shrimp, and buttery garlic noodles in a rich, umami-packed dish that’s indulgent yet simple enough for a weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

  • 1 ribeye or sirloin steak (about 8 oz)
  • 8 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 6 oz egg noodles or spaghetti
  • 6 cloves garlic, finely minced
  • 4 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp brown sugar
  • 1 tsp fish sauce
  • Black pepper to taste
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the steak with salt and black pepper. Sear in a hot skillet until desired doneness. Rest, then slice thinly against the grain.
  3. In the same skillet, cook the shrimp until pink and slightly golden. Remove and set aside.
  4. Lower the heat, melt butter in the skillet, and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
  5. Add oyster sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, and fish sauce. Stir well to combine.
  6. Add the cooked noodles to the sauce and toss until evenly coated.
  7. Plate the noodles, top with sliced steak and shrimp, garnish with green onions and optional Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Let the steak rest before slicing to retain juices.
  • Use hoisin sauce mixed with soy sauce as a substitute for oyster sauce.
  • Red pepper flakes or chili oil can add heat if desired.
  • Add vegetables like mushrooms or spinach for extra nutrition.
