Description
This Surf & Turf Garlic Noodles recipe blends tender steak, succulent shrimp, and buttery garlic noodles in a rich, umami-packed dish that’s indulgent yet simple enough for a weeknight dinner.
Ingredients
- 1 ribeye or sirloin steak (about 8 oz)
- 8 oz large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 6 oz egg noodles or spaghetti
- 6 cloves garlic, finely minced
- 4 tbsp butter
- 2 tbsp oyster sauce
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- 1 tsp brown sugar
- 1 tsp fish sauce
- Black pepper to taste
- Salt to taste
- 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
- Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season the steak with salt and black pepper. Sear in a hot skillet until desired doneness. Rest, then slice thinly against the grain.
- In the same skillet, cook the shrimp until pink and slightly golden. Remove and set aside.
- Lower the heat, melt butter in the skillet, and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 30 seconds).
- Add oyster sauce, soy sauce, brown sugar, and fish sauce. Stir well to combine.
- Add the cooked noodles to the sauce and toss until evenly coated.
- Plate the noodles, top with sliced steak and shrimp, garnish with green onions and optional Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Let the steak rest before slicing to retain juices.
- Use hoisin sauce mixed with soy sauce as a substitute for oyster sauce.
- Red pepper flakes or chili oil can add heat if desired.
- Add vegetables like mushrooms or spinach for extra nutrition.
