Description

This viral TikTok Spaghetti casserole layers Alfredo-coated spaghetti with a rich red meat sauce and gooey mozzarella, creating the ultimate comfort food baked pasta dish.


Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 green bell pepper, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef (80/20)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 36 ounces spaghetti sauce (1 1/2 jars of 24 oz each)
  • Salt, to taste
  • 12 ounces spaghetti
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 °F (177 °C) and spray a 9×13‑inch baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. In a skillet, sauté chopped onion and bell pepper in olive oil until translucent, then add garlic until fragrant.
  3. Add ground beef, cook and crumble; drain excess grease. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and stir in the spaghetti sauce. Set aside.
  4. Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water; drain.
  5. In another pan, melt butter and sauté garlic briefly, then stir in flour and cook for about one minute. Remove from heat and whisk in heavy cream until smooth. Return to heat and stir in Parmesan until melted.
  6. Combine drained pasta with the Alfredo sauce, toss to coat, then spread into the prepared baking dish.
  7. Layer the red sauce over the pasta—do not mix. Sprinkle with mozzarella.
  8. Bake uncovered until cheese melts and casserole bubbles, about 30 minutes. Let rest for 10 minutes before serving.
