Description

Crispy and tangy air fryer fried pickles with a golden crunchy coating, made with minimal oil for a lighter snack.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup dill pickle slices, drained and patted dry
  • 1/2 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 3/4 cup breadcrumbs (panko preferred)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (400°F).
  2. Pat pickle slices dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
  3. In one bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  4. In a second bowl, whisk together egg and milk.
  5. Place breadcrumbs in a third bowl.
  6. Dip each pickle slice into the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs, pressing lightly to adhere.
  7. Arrange coated pickles in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overlapping.
  8. Lightly spray with cooking spray.
  9. Air fry for 8–10 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy.
  10. Serve immediately while hot.

  • Dry pickles thoroughly to help coating stick and crisp.
  • Avoid overcrowding the air fryer for even cooking.
