Ingredients
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 large flour tortillas
- 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup diced onions
- 1/4 cup sliced pickles
- For the special sauce:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon yellow mustard
- 1 tablespoon pickle relish
- 1 teaspoon white vinegar
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon sugar
Instructions
- Prepare the special sauce by mixing mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, and sugar in a bowl until smooth. Set aside.
- Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat, breaking it apart as it browns.
- Season the beef with salt, pepper, and garlic powder, and cook until fully done and slightly crispy.
- Warm the tortillas slightly to make them easier to fold.
- Lay each tortilla flat and spread a generous amount of the special sauce in the center.
- Add cooked beef, shredded lettuce, cheddar cheese, diced onions, and pickles.
- Fold in the sides and roll tightly into a wrap.
- Optional: Toast the wrap in a pan for a crispy exterior.
Notes
- You can substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- Whole wheat tortillas can be used for a healthier variation.
- American cheese melts better and gives a more authentic fast-food taste.
- Do not overfill wraps to prevent them from falling apart.
- Warming tortillas helps improve flexibility and rolling.
- The sauce tastes better when made ahead and chilled.
