Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 3/4 cup plain yogurt
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2–4 tablespoons warm water (as needed)
- 3 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley or cilantro, chopped
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda.
- Add yogurt and olive oil, mixing until the dough begins to form.
- Gradually add warm water until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough for 8–10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
- Cover and let the dough rest for 1 hour.
- Divide dough into small balls and roll into oval or circular shapes.
- Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and cook each naan for 1–2 minutes per side until bubbles and golden spots appear.
- Mix melted butter with minced garlic and brush over warm naan.
- Sprinkle with chopped parsley or cilantro and serve.

- Ensure the skillet is very hot to achieve bubbly texture.
- Adjust water gradually to avoid sticky dough.
