Ingredients
- 4 cups ripe cantaloupe, cubed
- 3 cups cold water
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- 2 to 3 tablespoons honey or sugar
- 1 cup ice cubes
- Lime slices for garnish
- Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place the cubed cantaloupe into a blender along with the cold water and fresh lime juice.
- Blend until the mixture becomes completely smooth.
- Taste the drink and add honey or sugar depending on your preferred sweetness.
- Pour the agua fresca through a fine mesh strainer into a large pitcher if a smoother texture is desired.
- Stir in the ice cubes and chill the drink for 15 to 20 minutes before serving.
- Pour into glasses and garnish with lime slices and fresh mint leaves if desired.
