Description
Quick and satisfying cheeseburger sliders made with juicy ground beef, melted cheese, and soft buns, perfect for sharing and ready in just 30 minutes.
Ingredients
- 12 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls or small dinner rolls)
- 1 pound (450 g) ground beef
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 small onion, finely diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 6 slices cheddar cheese (cut in halves)
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 1 tablespoon mustard
- 2 tablespoons melted butter
- 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 180°C (350°F) and lightly grease a baking dish.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat and cook diced onion until softened.
- Add garlic and cook briefly until fragrant.
- Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks.
- Drain excess fat and stir in salt, pepper, and Worcestershire sauce.
- Slice slider buns in half horizontally without separating them individually.
- Place bottom half of buns in the baking dish and spread cooked beef evenly over them.
- Layer cheese slices evenly over the beef.
- Place the top half of buns over the cheese.
- Brush tops with melted butter and sprinkle sesame seeds if using.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are lightly golden.
- Remove from oven, cool slightly, slice into individual sliders, and add ketchup and mustard before serving.
Notes
- Add pickles or sautéed mushrooms for extra flavor.
- Use pepper jack cheese or hot sauce for a spicier version.
- Substitute ground beef with turkey or chicken for a lighter option.
- Assemble ahead and bake just before serving for best results.
- Add sauces just before serving to prevent soggy buns.
