Ingredients
- 2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 3/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tablespoon orange zest
- 2 tablespoons fresh orange juice
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 teaspoon orange extract (optional)
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
- In a large bowl, cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- Beat in the egg, then add the orange zest, orange juice, vanilla extract, and optional orange extract.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until a soft dough forms.
- Fold in the white chocolate chips.
- Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing them slightly apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are lightly golden.
- Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
