Description
A rich and comforting creamy garlic chicken made with tender pan-seared chicken breasts simmered in a smooth, garlicky parmesan cream sauce.
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 6 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken broth
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Season the chicken breasts with salt and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Cook the chicken for 5–7 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- In the same pan, melt the butter and add minced garlic. Cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in the chicken broth and let it simmer, scraping the bottom of the pan.
- Add heavy cream, parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning. Stir until smooth and slightly thickened.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and spoon the sauce over it.
- Simmer for a few minutes to blend flavors.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve.
Notes
- Chicken thighs can be used instead of breasts for a juicier texture.
- Substitute part of the cream with milk for a lighter version.
- Add mushrooms or spinach for extra flavor and texture.
- Sprinkle red pepper flakes for a spicy kick.
- Reheat gently to avoid sauce separation.
