Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 6 ounces each)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 cup barbecue sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking dish with foil for easy cleanup.
- Season the chicken breasts evenly with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and onion powder.
- Place the chicken breasts in the prepared baking dish and brush generously with barbecue sauce.
- Bake uncovered for 20 minutes.
- Remove the dish from the oven and brush another layer of barbecue sauce over the chicken.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 10–15 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
- Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
