Description
Easy cheesy garlic bread with crispy edges, buttery garlic flavor, and gooey melted cheese. Perfect as a quick side dish, snack, or appetizer for pasta nights and family dinners.
Ingredients
- 1 loaf French bread or Italian bread
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Slice the bread in half lengthwise and place both halves on a baking sheet.
- In a bowl, mix the softened butter, minced garlic, parsley, salt, and black pepper until fully combined.
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over both bread halves.
- Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese generously on top.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- For a crispier topping, broil for 1–2 minutes while watching carefully to avoid burning.
- Slice and serve warm.
Notes
- Freshly shredded cheese melts more smoothly than pre-shredded cheese.
- You can add basil, oregano, or crushed red pepper flakes for extra flavor.
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Reheat in the oven instead of the microwave to keep the bread crispy.
- The assembled bread can be frozen before baking for up to 2 months.
