Description

A creamy and indulgent Marry Me Chicken Pasta made with tender chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and a rich parmesan cream sauce, perfect for a comforting yet elegant meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 400 g)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/3 cup (about 50 g) sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup (120 ml) chicken broth
  • 1/2 cup (50 g) parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 250 g pasta (penne or fettuccine)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
  2. Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat and cook the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked. Remove and slice.
  4. In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add chopped sun-dried tomatoes and cook for another minute.
  6. Pour in chicken broth and let it simmer briefly.
  7. Add heavy cream, parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning. Stir and let the sauce simmer until slightly thickened.
  8. Return sliced chicken to the pan and add cooked pasta. Toss well to coat in the sauce.
  9. Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.

Notes

  • Add spinach for extra freshness and nutrition.
  • Substitute shrimp for a seafood variation.
  • Use different pasta shapes like rigatoni or spaghetti as desired.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 3 days in an airtight container.
  • Reheat gently with a splash of milk or broth to maintain creaminess.
  • Freezing is possible but may slightly alter the sauce texture.
