A creamy and indulgent Marry Me Chicken Pasta made with tender chicken, sun-dried tomatoes, and a rich parmesan cream sauce, perfect for a comforting yet elegant meal.
Ingredients
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 400 g)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/3 cup (about 50 g) sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- 1/2 cup (120 ml) chicken broth
- 1/2 cup (50 g) parmesan cheese, grated
- 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 250 g pasta (penne or fettuccine)
- 2 tablespoons fresh basil, chopped
Instructions
- Cook the pasta in salted boiling water according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and paprika.
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat and cook the chicken for 5–6 minutes per side until golden and fully cooked. Remove and slice.
- In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for about 30 seconds until fragrant.
- Add chopped sun-dried tomatoes and cook for another minute.
- Pour in chicken broth and let it simmer briefly.
- Add heavy cream, parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning. Stir and let the sauce simmer until slightly thickened.
- Return sliced chicken to the pan and add cooked pasta. Toss well to coat in the sauce.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.
